Relief Missions are staffed by people who volunteer their time, and funded by people who volunteer their treasure.  And in all honesty, we need both.

Angels For Alabama has the institutional support of both the Diocese of Joliet-in-Illinois and the Diocese of Birmingham-in-Alabama.  Their experience and guidance will lead this mission to a successful conclusion.

As a responsible and thrifty charitable mission, the organizers have secured lodging in Alabama from the Knights of Columbus Council #4083 and Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  The Knights also have donated food (barbecue and turkey) to the volunteers.

The mission must cover expenses such as transportation to and from Alabama, the purchase of additional food for volunteers (carbohydrates, breakfast food, snacks, liquids, etc.), and funds for unforeseen expenses while on mission.  We estimate our cash need to be $10,000.

All contributions to our mission are tax-deductible through the Diocese of Joliet-in-Illinois, and you can read more about their extensive mission experience here.

Any money that remains at the end of the mission will be donated to Catholic Social Services of West Alabama, the Knights of Columbus Council #4093, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
